When I started to “decorate” the baby room, I didn’t really have any ideas in mind. Ryan hung the map we already had framed and I considered going with a travel theme. But instead I’ve gone with more of a generic “educational” room. 😉 We’ll start teaching this child early!
We moved the orange rocking chair in the corner near the closet and window, but now I have a wide open space on the wall next to the crib. I haven’t decided on a “changing station/table” yet, but I am guessing it will live under the map on the right. As I sit here and imagine what may go well on the far wall – book shelves come to mind.
Take a look at the empty wall space:
Here are a few wall bookshelf ideas I pulled from Pinterest:
I purchased these little vintage alphabet cards from Pretty Little Studio on Etsy a few weeks ago. I just hung them today and am so pleased with their appearance. I love the vintage animal graphics and feel like the colors add a touch of cheer to the room.
I also think it would be nice to hang something over the crib (on the wall). But that always makes me a little nervous. What if it fell into the crib?
